5 SOLAS – SOLA FIDE

Romans 3:19-25; 5:1-8

According to the authority of Scripture Alone we are saved by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in Christ Alone for the Glory of God Alone.

#1 THE VERDICT IS IN: GUILTY vv.19-20

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 (NIV)

#2 THE GREAT EXCHANGE vv. 21-25

• We get the RIGHTEOUSNESS of Christ.
• He gets our SIN.

#3 THE NATURE OF SAVING FAITH

Saving Faith is NOT:

• DIY: Do It YOURSELF
• Trying HARDER
• TEMPORARY Trust
• Knowing FACTS about Jesus
• BEING ABOVE average

Saving Faith IS trusting in Jesus Christ alone to save you. SOLA FIDE!
