ABILITIES

Matthew 25:14-30

#1 I AM A STEWARD OF WHAT GOD HAS ENTRUSTED TO ME.

#2 MY MASTER EXPECTS ME TO ADVANCE HIS INTERESTS.

#3 I WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNT FOR THE QUALITY OF MY WORK.

#4 I WILL RECEIVE REWARDS BASED ON MY STEWARDSHIP.

• REALIZE you have God given abilities.

Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10 (CSB)

• DEDICATE your abilities to God.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12:1 (NIV)

• PROTECT yourself from yourself.

If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:21 (NLT)

• CULTIVATE your abilities for God’s glory.

Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed. Ecclesiastes 10:10 (NLT)
