The Blessed Life – Matthew 5:1-12

To be Blessed by God is to receive gifts from God that cause His children to be fully satisfied in Him

#1 You will be satisfied when you realize your spiritual poverty. By God’s grace you will live in abundance in His kingdom.

#2 You will be satisfied in your deep grief over your distance from God because He will close the gap and comfort you.

#3 You will be satisfied when you surrender to God, for you will gain the whole earth.

#4 You will be satisfied when you have a strong desire for what is right because you will have more than enough.

#5 You will be satisfied when you receive and give mercy because God will show you mercy.

#6 You will be satisfied when your heart has been cleansed and is pure, because you will see God face to face.

#7 You will be satisfied when you are a maker of peace because it gives evidence that you are a child of the God of Peace.

#8 You will be satisfied when persecution comes because of doing right because there is a great reward, you are in great company, and you serve a great Savior.

We are never really finished with the Beatitudes because there are always new discoveries of our own hearts and of God’s grace. We grow in grace as we grow in knowledge – knowledge of Christ and knowledge of ourselves. We reign in life, but there is always more territory to conquer and control.

God will satisfy us a we live out the Beatitudes in our everyday lives.
