Youth Leader

First Baptist Church Monticello, Florida is seeking a part-time Youth Leader to lead our church’s ministry to youth. A great candidate for this position will have a passion to reach, disciple and lead youth while building lasting relationships with a caring church family.

First Baptist Monticello is a multi-generational church with a blended worship service.

Qualifications

• Born again believer with a passion and calling to lead youth
• Experience leading and mentoring youth
• Strong character and example for youth
• Love for God’s Word and the ability to teach youth in a relevant way
• Understand and subscribe to the statement of faith of FBCM, the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
• Organizational Skills
• Relational Skills with youth, parents, youth leaders and church family

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the youth ministry with the help of the staff, youth leaders, parents, and church family
• Participate in fulfilling the church vision to worship, grow, serve and share
• Develop a compelling ministry plan for youth from grades 6 – 12
• Facilitate Sunday Morning Bible Study for youth (20-30 youth)
• Plan, promote and lead Wednesday night worship for youth (40-50 youth)
• Recruit, train, and support adult leaders for youth ministry
• Plan, promote and attend special annual events for youth (camp, retreats, mission trips, etc.)
